Scooter’s 1374th bar, first visited in 2019.

After spending about an hour walking along the lake and then along the paved trail through town, we were ready for a drink before returning to our cabin.

I had a Saint Joe’s Abbey Style by Oldman River Brewing.

I particularly enjoyed the signage denoting the restrooms. Unfortunately when I was trying to take a corresponding picture for the women’s restroom, the door suddenly opened and I panicked and rushed back to my seat. I forgot to return later when the coast was clear.

After spending a considerable amount of time trying to decide between Thai and Indian for dinner, we went with English pub.

The food here was great, and they had a really good beer selection too. I had a Jet Black Heart (milk stout) by BrewDog.

Scooter’s 1372nd bar, first visited in 2019.

My first brewery (or bar for that matter) in Canada, and since it’s the only brewery I visited in Canada I don’t know if this is the norm or a peculiarity to this place. There’s no actual bar per se. You order and pay at the register when you first come in, then you take a seat anywhere you want and they bring it to you when it’s ready.

There’s a small amount of seating along the window in the front room with the cash register / gift shop, and a larger room in back. There is also plenty of seating on the patio.

Flights are served in test tubes, which was fun. I had their Curiosity Ale, Frequency Hopper (IPA), Fomenko’s Chronology (raspberry sour), and BHB (stout).
