Scooter’s 1877th bar, first visited in 2026.

We went to several Eureka Springs bars today, but this was the only of them I hadn’t been to before. We visited the upper level bar, located in the middle building of this ridiculously popular restaurant / bar / venue. We entered from the Spring Street side via the upper level deck, so while being the upstairs bar it was technically downstairs for us.

I had some sort of creamy chocolatey cocktail that I can’t remember the name of except that there was something definitely “gay” in the name. 😁

Stopped here on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Started out outdoor but later had to move inside. Good thing they are dog friendly inside and out!

A had a flight with the Quotidian Pint (pilsner), Oktoberfest 2025, Cicatrix (American IPA) and Bermuda Schwartz (Schwarzbier).

I then added on a Mexican Buddha (brown ale) and a Pulchritude (NE IPA). Then bought two bottles of Proud Mama (imperial porter) that I took hom to drink later.

(Oh, and I also had tacos.)

Missy’s White Rabbit Lounge

Missy’s White Rabbit is located in one of the staircase alleys, either one flight down or 2 flights up depending on which street you start from.

There are three main seating areas here — the main bar – dark and eclectic. A side room with a large mural and natural light from large windows, and a long narrow deck along the back of the building overlooking Main Street. We chose the deck.

Since I had gotten hammered on Friday, I only had a Guinness here so the rest of the group could have the opportunity to drink as much as they wanted. Lots of tequila and rum was poured.

Jack Rabbett’s Whisky Bar

This is one of two bars in the Basin Park Hotel, located on the 1st floor (which is actually a level up from the building entrance). After Voodoo Lounge I was petty lit (I had been drinking longer than anyone else in the group), and I am honestly unsure how we even wound up here, as it was on the other side of the street from both where we started and where we were heading. But I remember that someone in the group needed to use the restroom, and this bar was right next to the restrooms.

This is a modestly upscale and relaxing space, with a fireplace as the centerpiece and a pool table to one side.

I know I had an old fashioned. I feel like I might have had one more drink after that, but I was pretty much gone after the old fashioned and cannot say for sure.

This is the other bar in the New Orleans Hotel, at street level and tucked away in the back corner of the main lobby. For as popular as it is (people raved about it everyplace we’d been today) I was surprised by how small it is. The drinks are spot on, though.

I had a Hibiscus Berry French 75 (hibiscus berry gin, lemon juice, prosecco) and an espresso martini.

The Quarter

One of two bars in the New Orleans Hotel, I wouldn’t necessarily call this a basement bar because it doesn’t seem to be at the bottom of the building, but it’s definitely below street level. There’s a modest-sized bar counter and a large lounge area. The bar hosts a Saturday burlesque during the summer season.

The sidewalk out front is made of glass instead of concrete, and the bar sticks out under the sidewalk. In addition to providing some natural light, if you are sitting at the bar counter you can look up and see people walking overhead.

We were there day-drinking on a weekday so at the time of our visit it was pretty dead.

I had a Hibiscus Cider by Black Apple Cider and a Voulez Vous Coucher Avec Moi (Gin, Berry Simple Syrup, Lemon Juice, Topped with Prosecco)

A combination coffee shop and craft beer bar. Also offered at least some cocktails — my wife got a margarita here. The inside seems a little more geared to the coffee house aspect, as the beer counter has only two stools. But the alley seating is great regardless of what style of drink you are here for.

We came here as a waiting area while various members of the group waited for their massage appointment start times at a hotel half a block away. I enjoyed both halves of the menu: I started with a mocha latte, then had a Mysterious Gap 2025 (Belgian Tripel) by Gotahold Brewing, and finally a Natural State Porter by Bentonville Brewing.

Spring On Main

This bar/restaurant is accessible only via an outdoor flight of stairs on the second floor of a downtown building. The bar forms the center focal point, though there are windows all around. In the back there are two levels of outdoor seating further up the fill, some areas open-air and some partially-covered.

This place is known for its cocktails and for its weekend brunches. We visited twice — first for lunch and then two days later for brunch. I had mimosas and an old fashioned.

Railway Winery & Butler Creek Distilling

Technically closer to the town of Beaver than to Eureka Springs, we had driven by this place many times in recent years before finally stopping in this past weekend.

There is a small amount of indoor seating, with considerably more seating outdoors under three covered areas. Due to state licensing requirements one of these outdoor seating areas is where you must sit if you plan to order from the distillery menu, but the entire complex is available for wine service. They also serve a handful of brews from Bentonville Brewing.

The patios are dog friendly and water bowls are provided. There is no food, but crackers and popcorn are available to cleanse the palate.

I sampled all of the wines except the Strawberry Trainwreck (I don’t like strawberry) and in a rare situation for me when it comes to wine, I liked nearly all of them. I also had the complete distillery flight, and finished off with a pour of the Hills and Hollers amber lager from Bentonville Brewing.

We bought 5 bottles of wine to take home, and when we asked about a good place nearby to get firewood the owner directed us to a tree he’d recently cut down behind the vineyard and had us load up whatever we wanted.

We’ll definitely be back!

T&A Saloon

Scooter’s 1442nd bar, first visited in 2020.

We stopped here on a weekend camping trip after seeing a sign for it about 10 miles away and loving the name. Though it’s a Eureka Springs address, it’s actually a few miles outside Eureka Springs in the unincorporated town of Busch.

There are a few different “rooms” inside, plus a large screened-in patio and a couple of picnic tables on the front lawn. Next door are cabins available for rent.

I had two of the Love Honey (Bock) by Lost Forty Brewing.
