The Bar, Kansas City

This is one of the most popular true dive bars in the Northland — if not THE most popular. Though an older crowd by day, at night it is packed with a very young crowd — generally with a high concentration of the “pretty-people” set.

The actual bar is fairly small but is fronted by several skinny bar tables to maximize seating in that area. Around the corner is a larger back room with a pool table and the dance floor.

Drink prices are very cheap, and karaoke is a regular occurrence. I’ve been visiting The Bar off and on for about 4 years now and have always had a good time.
