Restaurant and craft beer bar that AJ and I dropped into after conducting a Craigslist transaction nearby.

I had The Waldos’ Special Ale by Lagunitas, Imperial Golden Nugget by Toppling Goliath, Boss Taurus by Torn Label, and Treeline by Melvin Brewing

Rock & Run Brewery & Pub

Brewpub on the square ion downtown Liberty. Known for its wood fired pizzas, which I tried and they are awesome. An adjacent building that they had been renovating to expand into collapsed, so they expanded into the buildings on the other side instead and just recently re-opened into all three buildings. (Though there is still some construction underway to repair the wall closest to the collapse. The expansion east also allowed for the opening of a beer garden.

In addition to their own beer they also have a large rotating selection of other craft beers. I stuck with theirs and had the Ryley Porter and the 5K IPA, I was impressed with both.

Popular locally-owned suburban sports bar with good good and great happy hour deals (2 for 1 drinks). UFC, live music, and Golden Tee are big deals here. Free popcorn at the bar!

Corner Bar

Scooter’s 502nd bar, first visited in 2008.

With a little bit of time left, we stopped at tiny bar in downtown Liberty that was so dark when we pulled up we thought it had gone out of business. It was moderately busy inside. We got some Coors Light cans and decided to chill for a while, playing some shuffleboard and then some Silver Strike. Liberty’s most well-known homeless guy came in and said hello to everyone while we played.

The men’s room here is the epitome of a dive bar Men’s room. It has enough fixtures that theoretically three peoople could be in here at once, but there’s barely room enough for even 1 person to stand and still be able to close the door.

Scooter’s 210th bar, first visited in 2006.

Spacious suburban strip mall bar. Very clean and well-kept.

The current incarnation (Sherlock’s Underground) has a pretty cool bowling game, as well as a hard-to-find Big Tony’s Pokerkard machine.

This could very well be the smokiest bar I’ve ever been to. I don’t mind smoke, but there was literally a thick, burning haze.
