Scooter’s 1830th bar, first visited in 2025.

This wine bar (which also features a curated set of craft beer) opened in 2024 in a converted house right at the edge of downtown Parkville. We stopped to check it out on our way home from running some errands.

There are multiple rooms and there were stairs leading up, but we sat at the bar and didn’t explore much.

There’s a limited menu of light eats, including flatbreads which is what we had.

I was original planning a wine flight but then I saw they had Liquid Spiritual Delight (imperial stout) from 2nd Shift Brewing so I went with that instead.

Scooter’s 1672nd bar, first visited in 2023.

This second location of Rochester Brewing opened in an iconic downtown Parkville building that features seating in a vintage rail car. In addition to beer and coffee they also make their own doughnuts.

I came here celebrating my friend’s birthday and had the Rochester Original Coffee Stout

Scooter’s 1546th bar, first visited in 2022.

Irish bar in downtown Parkville that I’d been meaning to visit for a long time, but it was always too busy. Now, with a day off in the middle of the week, I had my chance.

Just a bit too nice to call it a dive, just a bit too mellow to call it upscale.

I had a Blacksmit (mix of Guinness and Smithwick’s).

Scooter’s 1295th bar, first visited in 2018.

I missed out on this place when it was Power Plant Brewing, as well as whatever it was once or twice after that, but it’s re-opened recently as a bar & grill.

Scooter’s 555th bar, first visited in 2009.

Technically a private club but open to the public, this is the only true bar in downtown Parkville and serves its role as a neighborhood bar well. Open 7 days a week, with breakfast Sunday mornings and various food and drink specials throughout the week. There’s also a bingo night, an open mic night, and other entertainment. This is also the only bar in Parkville where smoking is legal.
