This place was a lucky accident! We had plans to eat at a small Indian restaurant in Springfield, but icy road conditions in central Michigan slowed us down enough that after we got past Chicago we realized we would not get there until about 20 minutes before closing time. Rather than risk it, I suggested we look for something in Bloomington instead. Checking the available options this seemed to be the best bet. What we experienced after our arrival showed us that not only was it out best option, but likely the best Indian restaurant/bar in the entire state with the possible exception of Chicago.
We sat right next to the bar. The owner and staff were amazing — extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
We were given a tablet to place our food orders, it allowed us to read about and see photos of every single item on the menu, and use sliders to configure the heat level for each.
Everything was so good we stuck around and had drinks to finish off. I had an IPA by Bira 91 (New Delhi), so in other words an actual literal IPA, followed later by a colorful cocktail called BB Rainbow.
