Scooter’s 1871st bar, first visited in 2026.
We arrived in Springfield too late to visit out hotel’s bar, so after getting settled in we headed out into the downtown square for a couple of drinks.
Our first of two stops was a long, skinny building with a rather beautiful bar along the front half and ornate vintage ceiling work. The back half had pinball machines and shuffleboard, and a small separate room of electronic casino games. While we didn’t notice it and it’s not in my photo, Google Street View shows a small area of sidewalk seating — it looks temporary though so may be seasonal.
I had two glasses of Moose Drool (brown ale) by Big Sky Brewing, a reliable favorite of mine.
