(Downtown, Springfield, IL)
Scooter’s 1872nd bar, first visited in 2026.
There were several bars available to choose from on the downtown square, but since we were planning to go to only two we chose this one due to it being across the street from our hotel. (We arrived minutes after midnight, so I’ve adjusted the date to January 4 instead of January 3.)
It was pretty quiet when we first arrived, but began to fill up during our stay. Before we left every person we had seen at Brewhaus ended up being seen here as well despite many of them heading a different direction when they left Brewhaus. In fact, even one of the bar-backs had been seen by us bar-backing at Brewhaus!
This was a fun bar, with a gaming area on one side while the bar itself filled the other half. Like Brewhaus it also had a sidewalk seating area, though this one was much larger.
Each time I tried to take a picture of the outside there were people standing in the way, so I took the exterior photo early the next morning while no one was there.
I had a Dank Meme (pale ale) by Triptych Brewing and a Zombie Dust (pale ale) by 3 Floyds Brewing — the latter is the beer pictured below.
